A friend told me he'd never pay for premium defensive ammo because "a bullet's a bullet." Then I showed him a ballistic gel test comparison. He now shoots premium ammo. :D
 
Funny how opinions change the moment ballistic gel starts telling the truth.
 
I used to think the same too, until I realized how different bullets act when they hit. I no lobger treat self-defense ammo like I would ammo for target practice. Some things just aren't worth being cheap about.
 
I also used to think that way too....I watched HST rounds go up against standard ball ammunition in ballistic gel. The way they expand and penetrate, it's not some kind of magic trick, just basic physics. And it is definitely worth the extra twenty bucks, if you ask me.

Yeah, once you see consistent expansion in gel, it’s pretty hard to go back to ball and just hope for the best
