Rifle cleaning

Do you all do deep clean or a quick clean? Most of the time I just run a bore snake through and wipe it down. I do full deep clean maybe twice a year. Is that bad? What's everyone's approach to rifle maintenance?

I also do quick wipe and bore snake most of the time, deep clean once in a while. Guns don’t need babying.

I’m definitely on the quick-clean side. I just run a bore snake through it, wipe it down, put on a little light oil and I’m done. Doing a thorough deep clean every few months has worked well and none of my rifles have given me trouble.

That’s pretty normal, quick cleans after use, deeper clean occasionally. As long as it runs reliably, you’re good.

If it runs clean and stays accurate, you’re probably doing exactly enough maintenance already
