Trap shooting is harder than it looks

I thought I'd be decent since I hunt. I went to a trap range and got humbled real quick..those clays move different than birds. I hit like 6 out of 25. Anyone else get destroyed their first time shooting clays?

Trust your swings. My first time trying trap shooting was rough. All my hunting experience didn't help at all. The lead I needed and my timing were totally different. But once I stopped trying to aim so much and just trusted my swing, things finally started to click.

Shooting clays really made me think. I learned that smooth moves and timing matter more than just going with your gut. I missed a lot at first, which was frustrating but I improved faster than I expected.
