Painting a rifle stock

I once used Rust-Oleum camo spray paint on a Savage stock. It came out tough and looked pretty good. The worn spots even gave it character.

That’s a good approach prep it right and even basic camo spray paint can last longer than people expect on a hunting or field rifle.

That’s been my experience too, once it’s properly prepped and cured, that Rust-Oleum camo holds up surprisingly well for what it is and the wear actually ends up looking natural instead of beat up.
