Opinion on gun shows

I keep hearing mixed things...some people swear they find great deals at gun shows. Others say it's all overpriced and you're better off online. What's been your experience?
 
What I've seen is that deals are out there, but you gotta be patient. The first ones there usually pay too much, the latecomers sometimes get lucky. Gun shows are good for people who know what things should cost.
 
I mostly go to gun shows to chat, not to find bargains. The prices never wow me but getting to hold weird guns and listen to old-timers talk is worth more than any online listing. I'm there for the stories and info.
