I just picked up a tactical Mossberg 590 in .410 and I'm loving the compact feel and low recoil. I plan to run it for home defense and clays, are there any tips on chokes, ammo choices, or must-have accessories? What would you add to this build?

That's a cool shotgun. I have used those and the low recoil is a huge plus. For home defense, you have to use the right ammo like Winchester PDX1 and for clays, a modified or full choke is a must. I would add a weapon light and a side saddle for sure

Hold up, I'd be concerned about using .410 for home defense. It's got significantly less stopping power than 12 or 20 gauge. Most experts recommend larger gauges for defensive situations since .410 buckshot has fewer pellets and less effective range....you have to really consider upgrading to 12 gauge for home defense purposes
